The Dyslexia Tutoring Program's annual fundraising dinner, Wishes, Dreams & Imagination, will be held Thursday, Nov. 13, at the Marriott Waterfront (700 Aliceanna St.). On the bill will be cocktails and dinner along with a presentation by last year's honoree, Nancy S. Grasmick. Admission is $300 per ticket and business attire is required. Choral fundraiser
The Baltimore Choral Arts Society will host a Fine Art, Jewelry and Wine Fundraiser Friday, Nov. 14, 5 p.m. at the Pikesville location of Radcliffe Jewelers and Renaissance Fine Arts (1848 Reisterstown Road). This event will offer a special preview of the grand opening of Renaissance Fine Arts at its new location, a look at a new boutique, Regalo, featuring the Jay Strongwater collection, and a walk through Radcliffe Jewelers. Walters goes collegiate
The Walters Art Museum will hold an event called College Night: Bling! Bling! Bling! Thursday, Nov. 13, 6-9 p.m., at 600 N. Charles Street. This event will give college faculty and students the chance to participate in art activities and check out the galleries for free. There will also be hip hop music and contemporary dialogue about "Bling" and culture, as it relates to the museum's exhibit "Bedazzled: 5,000 Years of Jewelry." Call 410-547-9000.

Award-winning author Mohja Kahf will read from her new novel Thursday, Nov. 13, 7 p.m., in the College of Notre Dame of Maryland's Doyle Formal Lounge. Kahf's newest work, "The Girl in the Tangerine Scarf," was voted the book for 2008 in the "One Book, One Bloomington" program. Kahf will also sign books. Admission is free. Call 410-532-5535.

California wine
Chef's Expressions will host a California Wine Dinner Friday, Nov. 14, 6:30 p.m., at Gramercy Mansion Bed and Breakfast (1400 Greenspring Valley Road).
