J. Parker Scott and Peter Slaton

Timothy Scott, of Gaywood, and Meredith Scott, of Rodgers Forge, announce the marrage of their daughter J. Parker Scott to Peter C. Slaton, son of Phillip and Kathy Slaton, of Lilburn, Ga. The Rev. Dan Glecker performed the ceremony on July 26 in the garden of the Baltimore Country Club in Roland Park.

Following their honeymoon in Park City, Utah, the couple will live in Memphis, Tenn. The bride is a special needs teacher for the city of Memphis. The groom is a packaging engineer for Smith and Nephew. The newlyweds are both graduates of Clemson University, where they met.

Deborah and Peter DeMuth

Deborah Kiel, of Hydes and the daughter of Stephen and Nancy Kiel, married Peter DeMuth, of Towson and the son of Brian and Leslie DeMuth, on Aug. 2 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Phoenix. The wedding ceremony was followed by a reception at Embassy Suites in Hunt Valley. The Rev. Michael Fahey performed the ceremony.

The wedding party included maid-of-honor Shannon Murphy, bridesmaids Genevieve Keys, Amanda Prigel and Whitney Opdahl, flower girl Morgan Hessen, best men Scott DeMuth and Allin Hinton and ushers Michael Kiel and Ryan Garland. After a honeymoon in Puerto Rico, the newlyweds live in Cambridge, Mass.

Cara Tana, Jeffery Walen Jr.

Mrs. Maryann Tana, of Bel Air, announces the engagement of her daughter, Cara Ann Tana, to Jeffery Francis Walen Jr., son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Francis Walen Sr., of Gaithersburg.

The future bride is a 1995 graduate of the College of Notre Dame, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in history with a minor in computer information systems. She is a technical delivery manager for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield in Owings Mills.

The future groom is a 1991 graduate of Towson University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in physical education before attending Goucher College, where he earned a masters in athletic administration in 2003. He is an adaptive physical education teacher at the John Archer School in Harford County and is an assistant baseball coach. He is also a real estate agent with Re/Max Exclusive.

A June wedding is planned in the Caribbean. The couple lives in Stoneleigh.
