Robert and Jean Marie Roth, of Parkton, announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Roth, to Nicholas Pachol, son of Wayne and Leslie Pachol, also of Parkton, and Mindy and Carson Sleeper, of New Freedom, Pa.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Hereford High School and the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a teacher with Baltimore County Public Schools.

The prospective groom, a graduate of Susquehannock High School and Penn State, is employed at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in Alexandria, Va.

A May 2010 wedding is planned.
