Sensor Concepts leased 25,000 square feet and Overhead Crane leased 21,300 square feet in the 200,000-square-foot warehouse/office building, according to Manekin, of Columbia, which is handling leases for the 20-acre site at 5200 Glen Arm Road.
MarquipWardUnited, a subsidiary of St. Louis-based Barry Wehmiller, leases 15,000 square feet in the building, which was sold for $4.2 million to MCF Capital, a Baltimore-based real estate investment partnership, in April.
The plant had been used to produce equipment used in making corrugated boxes. After the sale, MarquipWardUnited moved its 20 employees to its location in Hunt Valley.
Originally built in 1960 as a warehouse for the Koppers company, the Glen Arm plant at one time employed 600 people in three shifts.
With 165,000 square feet of warehouse space, and about 35,000 square feet of office space on two floors, the building offers high ceilings, heavy electrical service, dock and drive-in access, an extensive crane inventory and on-site parking, according to Manekin.
