Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce

The Greater Catonsville Chamber of Commerce presents the 13th annual Taste of Catonsville on April 20 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Rolling Road Golf Club, 814 Hilltop Road.

This year, however, the annual spring event is just the beginning of a week of amazing dining discounts.

For the past 12 years, the Taste of Catonsville events have attracted a growing surge of diners for a night of food, festivity and fun. In fact, the number of attendees at the Taste events has doubled over the past four years, causing many to wonder, "How will the chamber top this?"

This year, more than 450 attendees are expected and, despite the recession stalking American business districts and striking at restaurant revenues, the Taste of Catonsville will continue to grow.

The chamber is committed to supporting and promoting our fine local dining establishments in this challenging time, so much so, that "Dine Local" is an important part of our 2009 "Buy Local" campaign.

This year, the 2009 Taste of Catonsville starts a week-long campaign called ReDiscover Catonsville Restaurants thanks to our new Diamond Sponsor, Carey Sales & Service, and our Silver Sponsor, BHTS Bilingual Hospitality Training Solutions.

In addition to being showcased for one night in the Taste of Catonsville, we have invited our restaurants to offer specially priced foods and beverages for patrons during the week following the Taste.

Coupons will appear in a booklet of special dining offers that will be promoted to the community at large.

The booklet will be distributed at the Taste of Catonsville, available on the chamber's Web site and in the chamber office, 822-A Frederick Road.

An advertising campaign including press releases and posters supported by the Baltimore County Department of Economic Development's ReDiscover Program will promote the Taste and Restaurant Week in the weeks leading up to the event.

Tickets for The Taste of Catonsville and coupons for ReDiscover Catonsville Restaurants week are available at www.catonsville.org.

Tickets cost $35 in advance, $45 at the door if available.
