July 12 is date for Miles that Matter Run/Walk

The Miles that Matter, Pikesville 5K Run/Walk will be held July 12 at 8 a.m. at the Festival at Woodholme.
The run/walk is sponsored by and a benefit for the Pikesville Chamber of Commerce and the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center.
Registration before July 12 is $30; and $35 the day of the race. Registration for senior citizens who are 65 or older and for the one-mile fun run is $20. Race personnel will begin registering runners at 6:30 a.m.

Packet pick-up will be July 10 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and July 11, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Fleet Feet Sports at the Festival at Woodholme.
In addition to a competitive and timed run, there will also be a moonbounce and balloon-twisting for children, said Mark Sapperstein, who is chairman of the race committee, and a Zumba race warm-up for run participants.
The first 700 entrants will get T-shirts. Winners will receive cash prizes and gift certificates.
Breakfast will be served after the race, donated by The Classic Catering People. Prizes for drawings were donated by First Watch, Lenny’s Delicatessen, Suburban House, Trader Joe’s, Cafe Fresh, Giant, Cosi and Qdoba.
The Festival at Woodholme is at 1829 Reisterstown Road, Pikesville.
