Carney and Cub Hill residents who live near the Jennifer Branch can learn how to help restore and protect the stream that runs through the neighborhood.

The Greater Parkville Community Council meeting Sept. 10 will focus on the county’s stream restoration project.

Candace Croswell, manager of Capital Projects with the county’s Department of Environmental Protection and Resource Management, will speak about cleaning up and restoring the Jennifer Branch.

A second speaker, Peggy Perry, project director of the Gunpowder Valley Conservancy, will discuss the Concervancy’s initiative to promote stream restoration by planting trees and rain gardens, disconnecting roof downspouts and installing rain barrels.

The meeting will be at 7 p.m. at the Parkville Recreation and Senior Center, 8601 Harford Road.
