Two women who live at Maryland Masonic Home, in Hunt Valley, are celebrating big birthdays this month.

Mildred Macleod will celebrate her 106th birthday Sept. 26. She was born in Garrett County and worked on her family's farm until she moved to Baltimore. She then lived with an aunt and worked for Hutzler Brothers.

Kathryn Bauer Harrison turns 105 Sept. 30. She was born in Baltimore, graduated from Eastern High School and worked as a clerk for Baltimore Gas and Electric. She married Charles Harrison in 1930, who was an accountant for several steamship companies.
