Ordinarily, Jaye Knutson, of Owings Mills, and Micah Saltzberg and his friends, of Reisterstown, have little in common.

But on Oct. 24, Knutson and Micah and his friends shared a dance together. They danced to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” as part of the “Thrill the World” simultaneous dance.

The dancers joined people from more than 300 locations around the world in an effort to break the Guinness world record for the most number of people performing to the “Thriller” dance simultaneously.

The Thrill the World Web site has not indicated how many dancers worldwide participated, nor if the Guinness world record was broken.
