For 35 years, the UMBC Symphony has embraced musicians who are neighbors and alumni as well as students.
"Our student musicians benefit from the experience of working with a diverse group from the community, with everyone coming together to achieve something," said conductor E. Michael Richards, chairman of the UMBC music department.
