He will work with Cheri Hahn, assistant vice president for quality and safety, and her staff.
Dy is a board certified internal medicine physician with experience in graduate medical education, quality and process improvement and medical informatics.
He currently serves as vice chairman of medicine, chairman of the clinical provider order entry committee and directs the internal medicine residency program.
For the past 10 years, Dy has run a primary care practice in Baltimore.
He also holds clinical assistant professorship positions at the University of Maryland and Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
An alumnus of Yale University, Dy graduated from Stanford Medical School before completing an internship and residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
He retired as an officer in the Army Medical Corps.
