Wetzel wins

The International Sanitary Supply Association Foundation's 2008-09 Middle Atlantic District Scholarship Award has been conferred upon Kelly Wetzel of Catonsville.

Wetzel graduated summa cum laude from James Madison University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in studio art and belonged to Phi Kappa Phi and Sigma Alpha Lambda, national honor organizations.

As the goalkeeper on the school's lacrosse team, Wetzel was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association honor roll, the Virginia Sports Information Directors Academic All-State Team and the Colonial Athletic Association Conference second team.

She is among the National Collegiate Athletic Association leaders in save percentages.

Wetzel is also an alumna of Mount de Sales Academy.

She received a fellowship to attend the Savannah College of Art & Design to pursue a master's in animation.
