Kimberly Wareheim, of Parkton, a graduate of Hereford High School and a senior at the University of Delaware in Newark, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester. She is a business major and plans on a career in business marketing

The following North County students have been named to the fall dean’s list of McDaniel College. Highest honors are earned for a semester grade point average of 3.90 or higher, high honors for a grade point average of 3.70-3.89, and honors for a 3.50-3.69 average. Emily Ardolino, of Freeland; Emily Dubyoski, of Upperco; and
Kevin Jubb, of White Hall, received highest honors. Stephanie Hammond, of Parkton; Allison Johns, of Upperco; and Anne Matthews, of Freeland, received high honors. Jessica Clinton, of Upperco; and Perri Dejarnette, of Phoenix, received honors.
Emilie Linsenmeyer, of White Hall, a 2006 graduate of Notre Dame Preparatory School, has been named to the dean’s list at Bucknell University, in Lewisburg, Pa., for the fall semester.
Christopher Michael Neville, of Reisterstown, has earned a Bachelor of Science in general business from Excelsior College, in Albany, N.Y.
Ryan Olaguer, son of Carlos and Sheila Olaguer, of Parkton, graduated from the Baltimore City Fire Department Training Academy on Jan. 16. A 2005 graduate of Hereford High School, he will begin his firefighting career at Engine Company 57 in Curtis Bay.
William Bleser, of Upperco, and Molly Fitzhugh, of Monkton, were named to the dean’s list at the College of William and Mary, in Williamsburg, Va., for the fall semester.
Brandon Morici, of Baldwin, a junior at Towson University, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.
Mary Denholm, daughter of John and Deborah Denholm of Sparks Glencoe, was named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vt. Denholm is a senior and a psychology and Spanish major.
Michael Nawrocki, of Baldwin, was named to the dean’s list of the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, for the fall 2008 semester. Nawrocki is a senior majoring in applied exercise science/prephysical therapy. He is also a member of the school’s lacrosse team.
Spencer Pace, of Monkton, a junior majoring in actuarial mathematics, was named to the dean’s list of Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., for the fall semester.
Suzanne Perdue, of White Hall, a senior studying business administration, was named to the fall dean’s list at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pa.
Matthew Shane, of Baldwin, was accepted for admission to Saint Vincent College for the fall 2009 semester.
James Jeffrey Wilhour, of Baldwin, a senior majoring in civil engineering with a minor in business, was named to the dean’s list at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va.
Eric Woods, of Glen Arm, a freshman studying actuarial science, has been named to the fall dean’s list at Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pa.
The following Dulaney High School students were selected for the Maryland All-State Band and Orchestra: Chloe Adler, of Phoenix; Jungbin “Tony” Choi, of Cockeysville; Hali Kerr, of Cockeysville; Sibei Mi, of Lutherville-Timonium; Melanie Sheridan, of Phoenix; Liangcheng Tao, of Lutherville-Timonium; and David Wu, of Lutherville-Timonium. A concert will be held March 1 at Morgan State University.
Dulaney High School senior Jimmy Carlson, of Cockeysville, was selected for the Baltimore County Honors Jazz Band. A concert will be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at the Walters Art Museum.
Seventh District Elementary School held an assembly Feb. 3 to celebrate its recent designation as a Maryland Blue Ribbon School. Dr. Nancy Grasmick, from the Maryland State Department of Education, addressed the students, staff, and guests. As part of the award, Seventh District received a 77-inch Smart Board Interactive Whiteboard and floor stand, an Airliner Wireless Slate, a 32-pack Senteo Interactive Response System and a check for $2,000. A banquet will be held March 9 at the State House in Annapolis to recognize the six Maryland schools named as recipients of the Blue Ribbon Award.
