Two Catonsville schools are among the topics on Baltimore County Public Schools’ summer episode of “BCPS News.”

The episode, which is shown three times a day through July 13, highlights Catonsville Middle School teacher Cecily Anderson, who was named the school system’s 2009 Teacher of the Year in May, and Hillcrest Elementary School students learning about protecting the environment.

The program airs daily at 7 a.m., 11 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on The Education Channel of Baltimore County Public Schools (Comcast Cable Channel 73 and Verizon FiOS Channel 35 in the county).

The program is also available on the school system's Web site at www.bcps.org.

Aside from the two Catonsville topics, the program also includes a story about the county’s sixth annual Elementary Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Fair, a Lutherville Laboratory elementary school’s field trip to the Hampton National Historic site and Pine Grove Elementary School teacher Stacey Crowl’s racing hobby.
