Students and adults interested in careers in law enforcement, security and public safety may want to look into Stevenson University’s new accelerated Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program.

The program begins this fall. Classes will be offered online in accelearated, eight-week sessions.

Students may choose from two specialty tracks, law enforcement or social service.

“Our program is designed to serve the adult student,” said Joyce Becker, dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies.

Major core requirements of the program will focus on constitutional law, criminal law and computer crimes, psychology, sociology, law and technology.

The law enforcement track is for students who want to pursue careers in police and investigative work at federal, state and local levels.

The social service track is for students who want to pursue careers in child protective and family-preservation services, juvenile justice, substance abuse and behavioral counseling.
