The summer’s final show of a new comedy concert series is coming Thursday to a theater near you — specifically, AMC Loews Valley Center 9.

Live Stand-Up Comedy @ The Movies, a nationwide tour hosted by comedian Chris Thomas, will bring several stand-up comedians to the Owings Mills theater on the night of Sept. 11.

The show will include Reginald Ballard, best known from the “Martin” TV show, as well as Eddie Bryant and Damon Rozier. There will be a tribute to recently-deceased comedian Bernie Mac and gift giveaways from local restaurants and stores.

James Ball, a Randallstown resident, launched the series in May to provide a more local outlet for comedy.

“There’s a lot of people who do not want to travel all the way to downtown (Baltimore) or go to (Washington) D.C.,” he said.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. and comedy will start at 7:30 p.m. The theater is at 9616 Reisterstown Road.

Tickets for the show are $25. V.I.P. tickets are $35 and include food and drinks. Women can get two-for-one tickets when purchased in advance. Advance tickets can be bought at www.comedianconcerts.com or by calling 410-365-1581.
