The Maryland Army National Guard will open a recruiting storefront in Reisterstown today.

A grand opening will be held from 11 a.m. to noon at the storefront at 10 Franklin Blvd., according to a guard release.

Recruiters will be on hand. Also at the opening will be a video games trailer, a climbing rock wall and a digitally camouflaged Minuteman Humvee.

Recruiting hours will be Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays by appointment.

Since Sept. 11, 2001, about 8,400 Maryland National Guard soldiers and airmen have been called to support Operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom, Noble Eagle, Jump Start and the relief efforts for multiple hurricanes.
