The Maryland Transportation Authority has set a new date for an Interstate 695 ramp opening, after inclement weather prevented the agency opening the new ramp on the original date.

The westbound ramp from I-695 to southbound Interstate 95 will open at 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 7.

On the new ramps, motorists will exit the Beltway on the right, and enter southbound I-95 on the right. The beginning of the ramp on I-695 is located about one-half mile before the current ramp.

Crews will close the exiting westbound I-695 ramp from 10 p.m. July 6 to 5 a.m. July 7, to prepare for the new ramp opening.

Motorists will follow detour routes to southbound U.S. 1, to eastboung I-695 and then to southbound or northbound I-95.
