* 30,000 gallon tanks are buried at the following North County schools: Carroll Manor, Fifth District, Seventh District, Sparks, Prettyboy and Hereford Middle. Jacksonville Elementary does not have one because of numerous tanks in the area.

* Hereford High's tower contains 70,000 gallons and can be used for fires.

* Tanks are at the following North County volunteer fire stations: Butler, Hereford, Jacksonville, Long Green, Maryland Line and Station 60, in Parkton.

* Other tanks can be found at: Hydes Road Park; Pleasantville and Baldwin Mill roads; Manor Shopping Center; Paper Mill Shopping Center; Super Fresh on Jarrettsville Pike; Summer Hill development; and Blenheim Road.

* In addition, there are 25 developments of 10 houses or more built throughout North County that have 12,000- gallon tanks, required by law since 1998.
