A serious crash occurred this morning at the intersection of Corbett and York roads in Monkton just before 9 a.m.

A UPS truck traveling northbound on York Road hit a vehicle that was entering York Road from Corbett Road, according to witness Deborah Curtis of Glen Rock, Pa., who was driving two cars behind the UPS truck.

After the collision, the UPS truck broke through two rows of painted wooden fences and came to rest in the field of Marathon Farm, a horse farm owned by Peter Angelos.

Baltimore County police and local rescue personnel responded to the scene, but details, including the names of persons involved in the accident, have not yet been released.
