SHA to split exit lanes on I-83 ramp beginning Oct. 5

Motorists who travel Interstate 83 should watch out for lane changes on the ramp to east-bound Interstate 695 beginning the evening of Oct. 5.
The State Highway Administration, around 7 p.m., will begin installing a temporary split of lanes on the flyover ramp of I-83 to the east-bound lanes of I-695 and the Charles Street interchange.
Concrete barriers will separate the lanes so motorists headed for Charles Street will remain in the right lane and I-695-bound traffic will remain in the left lane.
The splitting of traffic will allow SHA to continue rehabilitation work of the I-83 ramp.
