A suspect in a series of robberies was nabbed seconds after a pharmacy on the Pulaski Highway corridor was held up Thursday night, Maryland State Police said.

Anthony Pierre Willis, 45, of the 4000 block of Hawksbury Road in Pikesville, was taken into custody as he left the Rite Aid Pharmacy in the 300 block of Pulaski Highway, near Joppatown, police said.

Willis was charged with armed robbery, robbery, assault, theft and resisting arrest in connection with Thursday’s heist.

Charges are pending in connection with three other robberies in Harford County, police said.

Maryland State Police and Harford County Sheriff’s Office detectives said they joined forces to solve robberies at pharmacies and an eatery in the Edgewood area that had started nine days earlier.

Clerks were held up in three evening robberies between Nov. 10 and 13 at a CVS Pharmacy, Friendly’s Restaurant and Walgreen’s Pharmacy in Harford County, police said.

Detectives from both the State Police and Sheriff’s Office said they were in contact with Baltimore County Police Department detectives after it was learned a suspect matching Willis’ description was being sought in connection with several armed robberies in the Catonsville area, police said.

Baltimore County detectives said a Walgreens, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, and a KFC were held up in a similar fashion in Catonsville.
