The Christmas season at Hunt Valley Towne Centre was ushered in by fifth-graders from Sparks Elementary School.

For the sixth consecutive year, the boys and girls sang Christmas carols and rang hand bells in front of the Christmas tree at the Centre’s main street Nov. 27.

The students, led by music teacher Heather Brack and instrumental music teacher Gary Doughaday, sang “Here Comes Santa Claus” as Santa arrived. They then helped the crowd count down to the lighting of the tree and sang “O Christmas Tree.”

After the festivities, the singers were treated to a pizza party at Wegman’s, courtesy of Hunt Valley Towne Centre.
