Sweetwater Pool & Spa Center will host a carnival to benefit cystic fibrosis patients at the store, 6619 Baltimore National Pike, July 31, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Admission is free.

Traditional carnival activities such as ring toss and bowling will be available for 25 cents each.

Snow cones, hot dogs and lemonade will be for sale.

Store owner Connie Divelbliss Ashcraft will be in the dunking booth 1-2 p.m.

The event is part of a joint effort between the local store and BioGuard, a national supplier of pool and spa care products, to support BioGuard Splash for CF, a fundraiser for cystic fibrosis patients and their local hospital care centers.

"The funds we're raising for Splash for CF mean we are helping CF families at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore get the care they need, as well as supporting research to lengthen life expectancy and ultimately find a cure," Ashcraft said in a release.
