Three Catonsville men have been arrested for their alleged roles in a fight Sept. 8 in the 100 block of Hillside Road that left at least three people injured.
Wayne Frederick Heusman, 20, of the 200 block of Stonewall Road, was charged Sept. 9 with attempted first-degree murder as well as first- and second-degree assault, according to court records.
He is scheduled for a court hearing Oct. 3.
Spencer Douglas Stevens, 19, and Kevin Jeffrey Vanek, 46, both of the 700 block of Edmondson Avenue, were both charged Sept. 8 with first- and second-degree assault in the early morning incident.
All three were being held in the Baltimore County Detention Center as of Sept. 9, pending bail review.
The fight involved several men and a variety of weapons, including a metal pole, a knife and a 40-inch wooden sword, according to the police report.
Baltimore County police are investigating the incident, which occurred shortly before 5 a.m. Monday.
Police were called to the scene at 4:56 a.m. by a woman who said her boyfriend was being beaten with a baseball bat, police reported.
Two men injured in the fight were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with non-life threatening injuries.
At least one of the two was stabbed in the lower abdomen.
A third injured man was treated for several lacerations to his arm at St. Agnes Hospital and released later Sept. 8.
