(Enlarge) Police have released this photo of a man who they allege is connected to bank robberies in Baltimore city and county. Police say the robber is in his late 30s, about 6 feet tall, weighs about 220 pounds and has black and gray hair.
Baltimore County police want the public’s help in identifying a man who they say has robbed six banks in the county and city.
In the most recent incident, the man robbed the Provident Bank in the Shoppers Food store in the 800 block of Goucher Boulevard just after 11 a.m. on Nov. 30, according to police.
In each of the six robberies, the man approached a teller, demanded money and implied he had a gun, police said.
After the tellers handed over an undisclosed amount of cash the man fled on foot.
A weapon was never displayed during the robberies, so police do not know if he is armed.
Police think he also robbed a Provident Bank in the 11100 block of Reisterstown Road on Aug. 12.
On June 21, he allegedly robbed a Provident Bank in the 5400 block of the Baltimore National Pike. Police think he robbed the Chevy Chase Bank in the 4600 block of Edmondson Avenue twice — on June 14 and Nov. 15.
Police also believe he robbed the Provident Bank in the 3800 block of E. Lombard Street.
Police spokesman Cpl. Mike Hill said it is not known why the robber has hit only Provident banks in addition to a Chevy Chase bank.
Anyone with information about the robber is encouraged to call the Baltimore County police at 410-307-2020 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-756-2587.
