Baltimore County police are urging North County residents to be on the alert for suspicious vehicles following a rash of home burglaries.

Two burglaries were reported Feb. 10 at the 15800 block of Yeoho Road between 8:20 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. and in the 15300 block of Priceville Road between 6:15 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Several miles north of the addresses above, between Jan. 26 and Feb. 10, there were seven burglaries in Freeland, Monkton, Parkton and White Hall. They occurred in the 1600 block of Walker Road, the 18700 block of York Road, the 2600 block of Monkton Road, the 20800 block of Keeney Mill Road, the 20600 block of West Liberty Road and the 20000 block of Kirkwood Shop Road.

Cockeysville police precinct commander Marty Lurz sent out a mass e-mail Feb. 10 asking for the public’s help.

He said a suspicious vehicle was spotted on Bee Tree Road near Bentley Road on Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. It was a maroon minivan with Tennessee license plates. Lurz said three white males were seen in the minivan.

After several home burglaries in November, Lurz asked people to look for several vehicles seen near burglaries on Ruhl, Orwig, West Liberty and Jordan Sawmill roads. He does not know if the same people and vehicles are suspected in the most recent burglaries. The vehicles from the November burglaries were an older model green and white pick-up truck, a newer maroon Toyota pick-up truck and a gray Ford Ranger pick-up truck.

Anyone spotting suspicious activity or encountering someone at their door asking to do tree-trimming or other landscaping work should call 911 or the Investigative Services Team at 410-887-1823.
