Evelyn L. Schreyer, of New Windsor and a former resident of Owings Mills, died June 25, 2009, at the Dove House Hospice, in Westminster. She was 83.

Born Oct. 12, 1925, in Altoona, Pa., she was the daughter of Raymond A. and Vida Heeter Zeak. She was the wife of Richard J. Schreyer Sr., who preceded her in death in 1995.

Mrs. Schreyer is survived by her children: R. Joseph Schreyer Jr., of Owings Mills, Susan Parrish, of Ocala, Fla., Deborah Polischeck, of Bel Air, Rebecca Price, of New Windsor, and Jennifer Stacy, of San Diego; 12 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and siblings, Lois Naperkoski and Patricia Arnett.

A funeral service was held June 29, 2009, at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, in New Windsor, with the Rev. Helen Armiger officiating.

Interment was in the Garrison Forrest Veterans Cemetery, in Owings Mills, July 6, 2009.
