Betty "Boop" Miller Scocco Taylor, 72, died in her Catonsville home May 16, 2009.
Born Aug. 6, 1936 in Ellicott City, she was one of 15 children born to the late John and Jessie Miller.
Mrs. Taylor retired from C&P Telephone Co. after many years of service.
As a seamstress, she was skilled in dressmaking, quilting and fashioning costumes for her grandchildren.
Other hobbies included painting and playing the organ.
Mrs. Taylor belonged to Second English Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Donald Taylor preceded his wife in death, as did her brothers, Bobby, Monroe, Charles and Leonard Miller.
Surviving relatives include sons and daughters-in-law Raymond Scocco, with Laurie, of New Windsor; Victor Scocco, with Jill, of Pasadena; and Nick Taylor, of Crownsville; also, stepson Mark Taylor, with Sandy, of Crownsville.
Also, grandchildren Melanie, Amanda, Megan and Ryan Scocco; stepgrandson Nick Taylor; and siblings Jessie and Jenny Williams, Mary Harrison, George, Stanley, Eddie, Frank, Tommy, Norman and Kenny Miller.
A service was held at the Haight Funeral Home and Chapel.
Interment followed in Lake View Memorial Park.
