While the Meadowbrook Tomatoes suffered their first and only defeat -- to Forest Hill on July 11 -- since moving into Division I of the Central Maryland Swim League, they still managed to tie for the divisional title with the Howard County team and with longtime rival Padonia Park.

All three clubs finished with 4-1 records after the Pooh Bears defeated Forest Hill and Meadowbrook topped Padonia Park in their traditional end-of-regular-season meet July 18.

The Tomatoes were well represented at the Straehle Invitational meet last week, for which participants had to qualify.
